BABY: Cow Costume with an Udder

There’s something so adorable about a baby in a costume. I especially love DIY costumes that are made with a onesie. This cow costume by Make It & Love It is just perfect. The cow onesie is really simple and easy to make, and you could definitely make it without a sewing machine or sewing at all. The fleece hat is slightly more complicated, but it is easier than you might think with a free pattern. Even if you don’t have a sewing machine, you could hand stitch this little hat pretty quickly. And of course the UDDER is the cutest and most hilarious part of all.

BABIES: Conversation Heart Onesie

This simple DIY costume idea by Madigan Made is just the cutest! It would make a great costume for your baby for Halloween, but it would also be perfect for dressing up your cute little one around Valentine’s Day. You can use a onesie you already have and attach a felt heart (maybe even use the heart to cover up a little stain). The hardest part would be choosing what phrase to put on your conversation heart.

KIDS: DIY Game boy costume

As a child of the 80’s, I loved my Game Boy and Tetris was my absolute fave! I still love me some Tetris! I decided it would be fun to turn my sweet baby into one of my beloved childhood toys and make him a DIY Game Boy costume out of a onesie.

Along with my DIY game boy onesie, I’m sharing 88+ more really awesome handmade costume ideas from talented bloggers all over blogland!

Here’s what you need to make the DIY game boy oneisie:

  • white onesie
  • sheets of felt
  • fabric glue
  • fabric scissors
  • a brown lunch sack (or something else to slide inside for the onesie while gluing)

Word to the wise, let the fabric glue dry completely! And don’t expect this onesie costume to be washable. If you’re using fabric glue, this onesie will only last the night. Sewing it all done would be easy and make the costume last a whole heck of a lot longer. First cut out all of your pieces from the felt.

Then, stick your lunch sack inside of the onesie and start gluing. It’s that easy, y’all! Waiting for the Game Boy onesie to dry is the hardest part!DIY Game boy costume

BABIES: DIY baby sushi costume

I love sushi! And I really love this itty bitty DIY baby sushi costume! The ginger and wasabi headband is adorable. It all started with a oneise and felt. You could hot glue or hand stitch the felt pieces onto the onesie.

BABIES: Octopus

Taylor from Taylor Made whipped up this clever little octopus creation for her sweet boy. And it all started with a onesie! She made an “octopus leg belt” our of an XL man’s t-shirt.
