It’s fun to dress up like your favorite sweet treat! We’ve had a few other DIY cupcake costumes on Really Awesome Costumes. Like this one cupcake made out of a lamp shade and this adult version of a cupcake costume made out of felt! Craft and Couture turned her daughter into an adorable cupcake with a wire wreath form, felt, and a pink long sleeved onesie! Those chocolate sprinkles kill me!

KIDS: DIY Chanel purse costume

Craft and Couture turned her little girl into the iconic Chanel purse for Halloween. How stinkin’ cute is that?! There are not any details about how she made it on her blog, but I assume she sewed and quilted the costume. I love how she even added the Chanel double C logo for the clasp!

KIDS: DIY Leprechaun costume

Raising Arizona Kids shared this awesome DIY leprechaun costume made by Paging Supermoms. I love that this DIY leprechaun costume for lots of reasons. 1: It’s made out of construction paper, something most of us already have on hand! 2: There are free printables to ensure that you get the shape of the hat and the beard just right! Not to mention it is easy enough for kids to make or at least help make!

KIDS: DIY Leprechaun beards

How fun are these DIY leprechaun beards in honor of St. Patricks Day?! French knots whipped these up with her boys with just a pipe cleaner and orange string! The fun hat came from the Dollar Store! I love that this costume was simple enough for her boys to make themselves!

The girls over at eighteen 25 whipped up these adorable t-shirts for St. Patricks day using a Silhouette cutting machine. The kiddos are officially pinch proof! You could do the same thing with fabric paint and a stencil!

KIDS: DIY Girls Snowman Outfit

How fun is this little girls snowman outfit for some cute holiday pictures? I love that she used the pictures for her Christmas card! Soho Sonnet crafted up this adorable outfit complete with a tiny hat, scarf, and an awesome tulle tutu! Best of all, the white tutu can be used for dress up afterwards! I love all of the little details, like the red rosette and berries on the hat!

KIDS: DIY Nativity costume

Around this time of year you’ll see lots of churches putting on a Nativity program and you may even have to create one of the costumes yourself.  If you’ve got a little shepherd on your hands then this is the perfect tutorial.  Kelsey of Vanilla Joy created this easy 10 minute DIY nativity costume for her son using towels, some elastic and a woven belt!  So perfect and budget friendly!

KIDS: DIY Snowman tutu

Kim at Leafy Tree Tops created this adorable DIY snowman tutu for her daughter to wear for their Christmas card photos and it looks so easy to recreate.  She of course made the white tutu using tulle and elastic ribbon then created the rest of the snowman outfit using a white leotard, circles cut from black felt, white tights, boots, a scarf and she also created the hat from felt as well.  Such an adorable snowman!

KIDS: DIY turkey costume

Turkey day is fast approaching and this may just be the cutest stuffed turkey I’ve ever seen!  Tara said her two year old son came up with the idea to be a turkey so she then came up with a simple and inexpensive DIY turkey costume to make for him using multiple colors of felt and cardboard.  A little bit of sewing and glueing later and you’ve got yourself one cute little Thanksgiving turkey.

KIDS: DIY Pilgrim costumes

Nothing pays tribute to Thanksgiving more than dressing up as the first ones to ever give thanks. Dana at Made created the perfect DIY Pilgrim costumes pieces for her kiddos to play pretend in and she made the vest, shawl, hat and bonnet out of felt while using basics you might already have in your kids closets to fill in the remainder of the costume.
